Fitness Class Descriptions
Buti, in Indian Marathi, means "the cure to something hidden or kept secret". This practice is a high-intensity fusion of yoga, tribal dance, and plyometrics. Classes combine cardio, strength training and flexibility in one seamless format. Buti creates a strong, empowered group that resembles a tribe. Vinyasa flow takes yoga poses and flows from one pose to another instead of holding them for an extended period of time. The spiral structure technique isolates portions of the body (for instance the core) and moves in a spiral motion to activate several muscles at once. Please bring a mat and water. No shoes needed.
If you've dreamed of channeling your inner rock star into a fitness plan, its time to POUND. Created by two female drummers, the POUND workout fuses cardio interval training with drumming to provide a challenging, heart-pumping workout! Release the stress and worries of the day by grabbing a pair of our ripstix drumsticks and letting it all go! Join us for this sweat dripping, full body, calorie blasting rock fest! Please bring water and a mat. Shoes are optional.
This class focuses on poses that promote relaxation, restoration and rejuvenation. Each restorative sequence is designed to move the spine in all directions using props allowing for deep relaxation. Candles and hot tea only enhance the relaxing experience. Please bring a mat. No shoes needed.
Dynamic Yoga Flow
Enjoy this blend of Vinyasa Flow yoga, movement within the poses, and all around good flowing vibe in a relaxing environment. Vinyasa flow is a yoga practice that takes poses (asanas) and uses mindful inhale and exhale to flow from one pose to another. Adding in additional movement within the poses allows us to work multiple muscles at once while enjoying great playlists and letting our bodies move with the music. Please bring water and a mat. No shoes required.
DEEP is a restorative yoga format focusing on micro-movements of your muscles. This is a low impact yet muscle building exercise that reaches those core muscles deep within us. Add in some self-massage, and an epic meditation at the end and you'll be left feeling lighter than ever. Please bring a mat, blanket, pillow or anything that makes you feel cozy. No shoes needed.
PiYo LIVE combines the muscle-sculpting, core strengthening benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility of flowing yoga movements. You'll perform a series of high-intensity, low-impact moves that will work every single muscle for a long, lean, and incredibly defined physique. Bring water and a mat! Shoes are optional. Please bring a change of shoes if there is inclement weather.
Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned dancer, this class with get you moving! Each class focuses on finding and keeping up with the beat, transfer of weight, evolution of steps, and bringing out your own personal style. While not your typical "fitness" class, Sierra's dance class is workshop style and is different every week depending on the ability and experience of the participants. We start with basic steps and add on from there to create a dance combination by the end of the class. We want you feeling comfortable and confident in your movement and body. This class is designed to compliment our other classes that are rhythm based such as Buti Yoga. There is no right or wrong in this dance class, JUST HAVE FUN! Bring water and shoes. Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music / dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting workout, and is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO." The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Bring water and shoes! If there is inclement weather please bring a change of shoes.
This full body workout will get your heart pumping and your muscles sculpted through a unique combination of weighted circuit and HIIT training components. Improve muscular and cardio endurance as well as agility with functional (and FUN!) movements to help you develop lean, chiseled muscles. This class is suited for all fitness levels. Stress-Relief Gentle Yoga
Does life have you feeling on edge and needing an outlet? Join Sarah for a relaxing hour of pranayama (breathing) techniques, gentle yoga poses, and meditation centered around relieving stress and the areas of our bodies that hold the most tension. You'll leave with a feeling of blissful calm. Please bring a mat, blanket, pillow or anything that makes you feel cozy! Complimentary hot tea is available as an added bonus!
Come weekly to get your dose of hula hooping lessons! You'll build core strength, arm and leg power and have the best time ever! Hoops will be provided for you but feel free to bring your own if you have one! Shoes are optional.
