About Laura: Laura attended her first yoga class in spring 2006, but it wasn’t until July 2012 after stepping into a heated vinyasa studio that she committed to her practice. Just in a few months, Laura knew she wanted to share the benefits of yoga with others.
Miss Jackson completed her 200 hour certification in Power Vinyasa Yoga with E-RYT Lead Trainers Stacey Vespaziani and Darcy Lyle at South Hills Power Yoga in August 2014.
She began teaching a free class at the Mt. Lebanon Library in January 2015, and became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 200 with Yoga Alliance in July 2015.
Laura participated in a Yin Yoga Teacher Training/Immersion with Richard Gartner (of Frameworks Yoga) at BYS Yoga Collective in October 2017.
Most recently, Jackson completed a training in Yoga Therapeutics for Chronic Pain with Lisa Papenbrock, D.C. and Sadie Grossman, C-IAYT, MS Yoga Therapy, RYT-500 at One Point One Yoga. Laura just became an Accessible Yoga Teacher, thanks to Amber Karnes (E-RYT 200, creator of Body Positive Yoga, and co-founder of Yoga for All Teacher Training) and Yoga U PGH in November 2019.
She is also a Reiki Master in the Usui Method of Healing, and received her certification from Dubravka Bencic in June 2012 at Sweetwater Center for the Arts in Sewickley, PA.Â
