At Amarah, we want you to feel comfortable, confident, and ready to move! Here are some quick guidelines depending on the class format but overall, wear what makes you feel comfortable:
Dance & Cardio Classes: Wear supportive sneakers and breathable workout clothes that allow you to jump, stretch, and sweat.
Yoga, Barre and Sculpt: Barefoot or grip socks are best. Choose leggings or shorts with a comfortable top that offers coverage while bending and stretching.
Yin & Restorative Yoga: Dress in cozy, comfortable clothing - think your favorite sweats. In the winter, layers are recommended so you can stay warm and relaxed while holding poses for longer periods of time.
✨ A good rule of thumb: swimwear, underwear, or overly revealing clothing isn’t appropriate for class.
Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel good and ready to move!

Drop-In pricing is available but we do require pre-registration for ALL classes. Why?
If we need to cancel a class for any reason, we need to be able to get in touch with you if you are planning to come. If you aren't signed up, then we have no way of communicating that with you and therefore you may show up at the studio and sadly, no one will be there!
Instructors spend a lot of time creating and planning out their classes. If they don't know how many people to expect, they can't plan appropriately.

We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before class. This allows you time to put your items in our locker area, use the restroom, shop around the boutique, and set up your spot in the studio.
*Note: if the boutique is not open, only the instructor will be at the studio to let people in. Instructors arrive between 15-30 minutes before class.

Our space is large - our boutique is on the top floor and our studio is on the bottom floor. Therefore, if no one is in the boutique area during class times, the instructor must lock the door before class begins. If you are going to be late, you need to message the instructor or the Amarah website chat feature to let us know ahead of time.
If there is no communication, the instructor will lock the door ON TIME so that they can begin class. You will not be able to enter the class after the door is locked.

Here at Amarah we are anti-diet culture. What does that mean? It means that we promote not conforming to the belief of a specific or ideal body size. and respecting people's autonomy. We don't believe in "dieting" or restricting calories in any way, but rather really listening to your body and allowing your intuition to be the driving force telling you what your body needs to be its healthiest self. Diet-culture focuses on a specific body type and is perpetuated through media sources and leads to poor mental health, disordered eating, negative feelings regarding weight, body image and food. Weight is not an indicator of overall health.
Anti-diet does not mean, anti-health. It's also not anti-medically appropriate diets. We believe that you should do what makes your body feel good. We don't endorse working out for weight loss, or eating a specific way for weight loss. That doesn't mean that you won't lose weight by coming to our classes, its just not our priority. Our priority is making sure that you have a one-of-a-kind fitness experience where you feel welcomed, loved, educated and empowered to grow in your self-love and authenticity.

Reiki is a complementary health approach in which the Reiki Master Practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above a person, with the goal of directing energy (from life source) to help facilitate the person's own healing response. Reiki is a healing technique that aids in stress reduction, relaxation and anxiety relief. It's based on an Eastern belief in an energy that supports the body's innate or natural healing abilities. It balances the seven chakras or energy centers that run through the center of our bodies and allow us to heal from trauma and what no longer serves us.
